  • Provide expert database level tuning and performance skills, and keep large databases performing at maximum capabilities.
  • Install and maintain new applications.
  • Communicate very well in understandable terms as well as more complex technical terms with managers, developers, and users.
  • Be creative and innovative in providing database solutions.
  • Evaluate potential technologies for use within the enterprise, pushing technology to meet extreme business requirements.
  • Perform database design and development duties to meet industry best practices. This includes both physical and logical design as well as implementation of the database as required by specific projects.
  • Write database and application related documentation.
  • Train users and other team members as required.
  • Look for spiritual guidance in your daily decisions.
Qualification
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently temple worthy.
  • Database administration experience and expertise on the current Oracle RDBMS (3+ years).
  • Database related experience with PeopleSoft 8.9 or higher (3+ years)
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Must be a team player, and have excellent communication skills.
  • 1+ year of PL/SQL experience.
  • Experience and expertise in design and integration of data is preferred.
  • Database baby sitters need not apply.
